Now D'Amelio sisters are no strangers to controversy. When the guest list of Met Gala was released (or leaked), many people were curious to see what these TikTok sensations would bring to the table. However, after a very pleasant MTV VMA's appearance, this look fell very short of expectations.
This look was inspired by the infamous, Audrey Hepburn, but ended up looking like an ordinary headburn (okay that was funny, I smirked). But for real, what on earth is that wig, Dixie? It looks like a whole swamp.
But on the flipside, we do see Kendal Jenner also presenting a modern take on Audrey Hepburn, which to everyone's surprise, was indeed very palatable and glamourous. But on a side note, Dixie does look gorgeous despite that awful wig. The makeup done is flawless!

If I saw this in the dark of night, you should best believe, my soul would be leaving my body. This is just scary! Yes it is edgy, yes it is cool in front of all the flashing lights, and it is also very "futuristic." Does that mean that won't be scaring kids off? No.
Kim is here to make a statement and that statement says, "Tell your kids I will visit them at night if they won't stop eating those extra candies."

Lil Nas did so many things, except serve! This is bringing all the childhood memories from the wizard of the Oz. Is he going to fight the evil witch? We shall never know. One thing is for sure, that ultra-high golden Matelic sheen just looks very tacky. Also didn't the Manus Vs Machina theme happened like five years ago? Lil Nas is a bit late to THAT party.

Let's be honest, that smile is cute; that drip is not! It looks like Aunt Dorothy just came back from her trip to Europe. Also, can we point out how uncomfortable Pete looks in this? Those shoulders are just giving it all away. Those glasses, however, may just be a catch.

When I looked at this dress, I knew it reminded me of something and you know what, I was right! Mojo Jojo! If Mojo Jojo had a sister, this is what she would wear because it is just THAT perfect.
But seriously, there is just too much going on in this. The cloth just looks so wrinkly and unstructured. The gloves, yes there are gloves, just blend in the background. This is not good at all. Whoopie honey, what were you thinking?

Ah! Yes the horse girl, exactly what we were missing. Okay but hear me out, I do get the idea behind it and I feel like it could be executed better if that horse was just slightly less comical. The dress however looks really nice. All the elements combined? Not so much. This look is just...off.

After absolutely killing the themes of Met Gala in the past, Rihanna decided to take a break in a silhouette gown built like a tent (very fitting). ASAP rocky brought his own blanket with him to this sweet retreat. I like the fact that this looks very cozy but isn't this supposed to be MET and not MEET your grandma?!

Now there is nothing wrong with this dress, it looks nice. But...where is the flavour? It is just bland, lays flat and I am not impressed. But still not one of the worst fits of the night, for sure.

This could have been a cute dress if it wasn't for those horrendous patterns. I am sure this triggered someone's trypophobia. Plus can we talk about that belt? It is just unnecessary. Overall, not a great fit but lily is a gorgeous girl!

While not many people did justice to the American theme, I have to mention this one person that absolutely nailed the concept on the head. Quannah really brought out her true American roots and snatched the title. It does just not get more authentic than this.
